For starters it is always best to begin by looking at each item as though you were the buyer. Ask yourself would you want to buy this item and how much would you pay for it? Remember items will be inspected during and after drop off as our goal is to maintain very high standards in the quality of merchandise that is accepted.


Merchandise Prep Supplies Needed and where to purchase them:

1) Full size and or child size wire hangers

*Check your local dry cleaners as many will often provide them for free or at a low cost.
*Local retail stores
*KC Kids Sale has them for sale if needed

Caution: Please DO NOT feel you must stretch your baby clothes to fit an adult wire hanger. We don't want you to damage your merchandise!

2) White card stock to print your tags

*Cardstock can be purchased at any local retail store

3) A tagging gun can really save you time, please be sure to tag your items in the seam to save your items from damage.

4) Safety pins - Large & Small to secure your items on the hangers.

5) Clear plastic baggies for small loose items such as bibs, hair accessories, socks, bottles, toys with lots of loose parts, and sippy cups.

6) Batteries for any and all toys or equipment that requires them. Each item must have batteries in them at the sale to prove that the item is in working condition.

To save you time KC Kids Sale does sell a tagging kit for $25.00 which includes the following:

* Tagging gun & barbs
* Safety pins (1 box large and small mix)
* Plastic baggies assorted sizes
* Plastic zip ties to tether shoes and accessories
* White cardstock
* 50 hangers

A good idea for larger / higher priced items is to print out the website page of what the item retails for new this is great for cribs, strollers, dressers, exersaucers and car seats. If you have the orginal owners manual attach it securely to the item.

All items must be priced in increments of $1.00

We will have our 50% off sale so be sure to check the box when tagging your items if you want your items discounted on our half off day.

*All clothing must be on a wire hanger with the hook facing the left like a question mark.

*Button all buttons, snaps, tie all bows, zip all zippers, etc.

*Pants / Shorts / Skirts should be hung on the UPPER part of the hanger

*When hanging / pinning clothing outfits / sets pin the bottoms BEHIND (not under) the top with the front of the bottoms facing outwards.

*Safety pin any matching accessories to the outfit

**Remember the nicer your items look on a hanger, the better they sell!
